This years National UK Pool and Spa Awards was an incredible night at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham for everyone involved with Midlands based hot tub specialists MySpa UK, as the family run business scooped no fewer than four awards at the showcase event for the UK’s swimming pool, swim spa and hot tub industry.

Investment in health and exercise at home has seen the home water leisure sector in the UK sustain a half billion pound  market value for both indoor and outdoor garden leisure products and facilities this year! “Demand is particularly high in quicker build home swimming and exercise options such as swim spas , as people consciously see the see the value in investing in wellness as well as fun family time” advises Christina Connor, Managing Director of Waterland Media, Editor of Pool and Spa Scene magazines and organiser of the Uk Pool and Spa Awards.

“Demand is so high for home swimming that customers are sometimes having to wait a year for a project to get underway. Projects are becoming more involved and more expensive with a clear trend for people to improve rather than move by investing in their own leisure facilities for water related exercise, relaxation and home entertaining” Christina adds.

This years event featured a record 225 entries from more than 60 of the best companies in the industry, showcasing the finest examples of pool and spa design from across the United Kingdom. 

A panel of twenty two judges of industry professionals were involved in the decision making in 2022, their choices merged with a record number of votes online from members of the public to decide the winners from 30 categories. 

At the start of the night, the presenters recognised MySpa UK for having received outstanding support from the public vote, which set the tone for the companies most successful awards event to date. Next up was the Award for overall Winner of the Best Above Ground hot tub installation of the Year under £10,000 for a project featuring a Sundance Spas 680 Series McKinley.

The second Award of the night came in the form of a Gold Standard Runner Up for the Sunken or semi sunken Spa Installation of the Year featuring a MySpa Wellness Collection Dahlem Hot tub recessed into an impressive deck. Competition in this category was tight and the Curren Project narrowly missed out on being the overall winner. Managing Director Andy Wroot said “This project was an incredibly exciting one to be involved with and the finished result is a firm favourite amongst all of our team.”

As the night progressed the individual business awards were announced and the team at MySpa were happy to receive another Gold Standard runner up award for UK Indoor Showroom of the Year for the new MySpa Derbyshire showroom in the heart of Derby. The latest MySpa showroom features state of the art hot tub showroom facilities and an array of the best selling models from both Sundance Spas and the MySpa Wellness Collection Hot Tubs Series. Already one of the top performing showrooms this award will be proudly on display at the Derby Hot Tub showroom.

To finish off an incredible evening MySpa UK were also announced winners of the UK Pool and Spa Awards 2022 UK Spa Retailer of the Year! 

MySpa Owners Andy and Laura Wroot received the Award on behalf of the whole team and reflected on the overall performance and growth of the team and business as a whole that warranted this prestigious award.

Co-Owner and Director Laura Wroot also said, “These awards have made us all really proud, but especially the UK Spa Retailer of The Year one. What a great way to finish the year and set ourselves up for a successful 2023, I can’t wait to share this with all the team”.
